An introductory module for international exchange students
English for International Communication
for outgoing and incoming students
Students who plan to spend some months at one of our partner institutions, practice their English together with incoming students for international and intercultural situations using role plays, presentaions, discussions etc.
The main focus is on oral communication and job-based vocabulary
Objectives:
This blocked course of currently 15 hours is designed to enable the outgoing students to follow the seminars run in English at our partner institutions.

Multi-Language-Training
for incoming and outgoing students
Objectives:
This course is designed to enlarge the active and passive knowledge about languages. The language competences are developed further in this multi-language seminar. The passive knowledge for languages, the students will be confronted with, will be established. This way the basis for a successful Erasmus semester will be privided.

International Tandems / Tridems
The students acquire new tools for their work in multi-cultural and multi-lingual classes (learning by doing).
Objectives:
Based on intercultural exchange the students are asked to question their own identities and experience their own and foreign customs, values, attitudes, and situations. They are made aware of these matters in mutual meetings.
Additionally the students are encouraged to meet in groups of two (tandems) or threes (tridems) to work on a common project or presentation.

Vorarlberg/Austria Studies
for incoming and outgoing students
Objectives:
The course of was developed to introduce Vorarlberg. Students will explore facts of Vorarlberg culture, history and ecology and deepen their understanding of the European Dimension through lectures, personal encounters, excursions, reading, observations and cross-cultural communication. There will be discussions about political and sociopolitical topics.
There will be excursions on six days.

Intensive German Course
for incoming students
Objectives:
This blocked course of currently 30 hours is designed for people to study German in order to enable them to work on their oral skills before taking up their studies in Feldkirch.
